Services: Hydrostatic Pressure Testing
Pressure testing a station after construction is a long-standing practice. Traditionally, 6,000 psi nitrogen gas cylinders are delivered to site, and a specialist is contracted to perform the test in accordance with ASME B31.3. InsightFuel developed a safer and quicker hydrostatic test procedure compliant with ASME ASME B31.3 345.4.
The key to removing moisture is the proper location of drain ports during design, and drawing vacuum on the line after testing - a common practice in the HVAC industry. Most people don't stop and think about the moisture that's already in the coiled tube - how do you think the manufacturer tests the product before we install it?
